I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I'm a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Hi, Iām Julie
How I work
I'm curious by nature, and that shapes how I show up in the room. I want to get to know you beyond a label or diagnosis: your experiences, the relationships that have mattered to you, and what you've learned about yourself along the way.
I often work alongside people navigating difficult childhood experiences, chronic illness or pain, relationships, identity, grief, and seasons of change. I'm especially interested in the patterns we pick up along the way, particularly when ways of coping that once made sense stop fitting.
Outside the therapy room
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me outside with my dog, at the piano, or in the kitchen cooking something I can't wait to eat. I love time with my family, and I'm always up for a good cup of coffee.
I spent many years teaching piano before becoming a therapist, so music is still very much a part of who I am.
I also believe there's room for humour in therapy, even alongside hard things.
